Drummer ASGEIR MICKELSON Quits BORKNAGAR
Øystein G. Brun BORKNAGAR has issued the following statement:"Due to the latest years evolving differences in musical ideas and visions,
Asgeir Mickelson [drums] has decided to quit BORKNAGAR. The split happens
in friendly manner and with mutual respect for the decision that he has made.
He will remain a good friend of the band.
"We wish to thank him for a great collaboration over the years
and the best of luck with future endeavours!
"The spilt will have little or no effect on the forthcoming album.
We are currently working on pre-productions and we are heading
for an early next year release.
As stated before, the new album will regain the musical forces that
dominated the four first albums. So beware!"

Rock supergroup Led Zeppelin are to play four shows in
Toronto, Canada this summer, according to new Internet reports.
A news blog on Canadian music TV channel's Much Music website
reports the August dates at the Skydome/Rogers Center stadium
will officially be announced shortly. No other shows will be announced,
according to the report, and the band will not tour the U.S.
Led Zeppelin founders Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones
reunited last year (for a one-off tribute show to late music mogul
Ahmet Ertegun in December.
The trio has fueled speculation of more dates with remarks made in
a series of interviews since the December concert in London.
Reports suggest the threesome has been offered upwards
of $200 million for a full-scale tour.

Germany's WORSHIP and Finland's SKEPTICISM are
among the confirmed bands for the Dutch Doom Days 2008 festival,
set to take place October 25-26 at Baroeg in Rotterdam, Holland.
The festival billing is shaping up as follows:
WORSHIP (Germany)
SKEPTICISM (Finland)
PANTHEIST (UK)
FALL OF THE IDOLS (Finland)
OPHIS (Germany)
Pim Blankenstein, founder and organizer of the event, said in
a statement, "The first names for the seventh annual Dutch Doom Days
are of some high-calibre bands. Every year we try to bring the best of the
doom genre without repeating ourselves and giving the fans the chance to
see bands perform and perhaps even discovering new acts.
Expect an apocalyptic weekend in October."
