2007 Tokyo Game Show Announced
The 2007 dates for Japan's largest Video Game conference,
the Tokyo Game Show, were announced on Friday.
The event will be held from September 20th until the 23rd at the
Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba Prefecture.
Organizers say that they aim to have more than 160 companies
and 180,000 people from the general public visit the conference.
Much like the setup for this month's Tokyo International Anime Fair,
the Tokyo Game Show will be split into "business" and "public" days.
September 20th and the 21st will be "business days"
where companies and representatives from the industry can
organize meetings and take place in special industry-themed panels.
The "public days" will feature displays and events about game
development, a special area for kids at the event,
and the usual displays and demos that make up the convention.
Event organizers are also planning more resources geared
towards guests from other nations, including press releases
in multiple languages and an English language guidebook for the convention.
Last year's game show was attended by about
190,000 people and 148 companies.
